Nomadelfia does not live for itself but for others. It is open toward
society since it takes concrete part in its problems especially in the care for
abandoned youngsters and by creating ways to diffuse their message of brotherhood
to all, believers and non-believers.  VISITORS.
Nomadelfia is open to everyone and hosts about 10,000 visitors yearly. They are
shown around the community by Nomadelfians. Some ask to remain for a few days.
These visitors are hosted by the family groups and they participate in the community's
daily life. MEETINGS. Many schools, parishes and associations throughout
Italy wish to learn about the Nomadelfian experience and set up times to meet
with the community.
 THE
"EVENINGS". These Evenings provide an occasion to meet and to learn about
other peoples. Nomadelfians utilize these performances to bring the Gospel to
others not as individuals but as a people which lives by what it believes.
The young people perform a two hour dance and acrobatics show.
There is also
a viewing of a documentary about Nomadelfia and a speech on "The Gospel is the
code to living".
The Evenings began in 1966, when Fr. Zeno proposed the Nomadelfian
fathers, mothers and children, during their vacation period, to recreate themselves
by recreating others.
These Evenings were held in over 900 cities and towns
in Italy.
The Nomadelfians performed for the Holy Father in Castelgandolfo
on August 12, 1980.  THE
TOUR. The tour usually begins in July and terminates at the end of August
and follows a fixed schedule. Unscheduled performances are given in prisons, homes
for the elderly, psychiatric hospitals.
About 50 percent of the community,
and all of the children, goes on tour.
Nomadelfians stay either in schools
or in institutes.
At times they are hosted by families.  ORGANIZING
THE TOUR. Each person has a task during these evening entertainment shows.
The Nomadelfians are divided into small teams and each person is in charge of
a certain sector.
Electronic and sound implants are installed; seats are set
up.
Others take care of the publicity, public relations, stage, costumes,
press, film shooting, cleaning of the square.
Nomadelfian publications are
distributed at the end of the Evening and one may receive the monthly publication
"Nomadelfia is a proposal" by leaving his address.
The performances are free
of charge so that everyone may attend. A DONATION TO THE PEOPLE. The
Evenings do not simply consist in an organizational effort but are testimony of
the brotherhood and unity which Nomadelfia donates to people - and this goes much
further than any performance.
